When the owners of Surf Taco reached out to me, I was stoked for another opportunity to paint for them. 

I started with a sketch. I had this idea of a huge sun covering the entrance, so when you walk in, you’re stepping right into the mural. I wanted it to feel like you’re surrounded by the ocean.

I went with blues for the walls, switching between sky and sea. It gave the place a sense of movement, like you’re underwater.

Then came the sea creatures. I painted seahorses, turtles, and angel fish, each one adding a bit of ocean magic to the mural. And of course, the mermaid. She became the star of the show, watching over the restaurant with a smile.

We turned the mermaid into a sticker, so customers could take a piece of the mural home. It’s a little reminder of the ocean and the art that brought Surf Taco to life.

I’m stoked with how it turned out. I hope it brings a smile to everyone who walks through the doors.
