Set in a harmonious black and white palette, the “Gypsy Sundala” mural depicts the beauty and serenity of a wave in motion, with a prominent mandala sun sharing its gentle rays from above.

This artwork finds its home on the side of the Gypsy Life building. During a project for Surf Taco, I was introduced to Tracy, the driving force behind the soon-to-open Gypsy Life Surf Shop. She had a vision of a monochromatic mural for her space, and I was keen to contribute. Initially, I imagined working on a comfortable 8×12 area, but upon visiting the site, Tracy pointed towards a wall much larger than anticipated. Faced with the vastness of the canvas, I felt a mix of surprise and humility. It was a reminder of the unpredictable and ever-expanding journey of art. Embracing the challenge with both hands, I hoped to do justice to Tracy’s vision and the spirit of the Gypsy Life community.
